Our Story

Welcome to Petals & Paws, and Your Own Backyard!

Paying attention to our natural world is one of the most worthwhile things a person can do.

This isn't a store that happens to have a nature theme. It's a place built from the inside out, by people who draw the feathers, study the tracks, sit quietly at the base of trees, and then figure out how to bring all of that back to others in ways they can use, wear, hang on a wall, and learn from.

The artwork is rooted in natural science illustration, a tradition of depicting the living world with deep appreciation, attentiveness, and accuracy. The educational materials are grounded in real training in nature awareness, forest therapy, and mindfulness practice. Holding it all together is a deep background in design and the craft of presenting ideas clearly, shaping how content looks and feels so that the work can actually reach people. Nothing here is borrowed from a trend. It's all made by two people from a single, sustained attention to the wild.

Nature is where learning lives. It always has been.

Two worlds meet here. One brings the outside in, offering home décor, apparel, and everyday items drawn from the natural world. The other takes you out, through materials that help you, and the children in your life, engage with eyes open, senses alive.

Two people. One world. Endless reasons to look more closely.

And for those who yearn for understanding,

Our blog is also a nature journal, where we follow our curiosity - into field guides, forest floors, and the connections that make our natural world worth a second look. Natural history, quiet observation, and the ecology that ties it all together, written for people who like to go deeper.
