Senses Alive! Using Your Five Senses

Slide gracefully into learning with Senses Alive!, a one-week sensory awareness unit for Kindergarten through Grade 3 (ages 4–9) that explores how our five senses connect us to the natural world. Each sense comes to life through an animal representative, building curiosity, imagination, and empathy for the natural world through story and outdoor exploration.

Five 45-minute lessons plus a Show 'n' Tell-style lesson build toward a single culminating activity — a quiet, multi-sensory practice in present-moment awareness. It's a perfect fit for the first week back to school, an all-day Outdoor Classroom, or any "settling-into-learning" routine.

Note: The Senses Alive! culminating activity is engaging and beneficial for learners of all ages, from 1 to 100.
